Why are we talking about your mind, when you just want to know the tactics?

Because tactics mean nothing if you aren’t mentally prepared for success.

If all it took to be successful was to know “what to do”, wouldn’t everyone be In amazing shape & Living their dream lives?

There’s a really great quote from Jim Rohn, one of the most well known motivational speakers on the planet and a millionaire, it says:

“Success is 20% skills and 80% strategy. You might know how to read, but more importantly, what’s your plan to read?”

Your success starts in your mind.

That’s why it’s the first thing we’re going to talk about in this program.

I am a fit 50 year old, who is happily living my purpose every day, and it would not have been possible if I wasn’t actively aware of my mindset every single day.

Here’s what you need to know…

I am giving you the keys to the castle.

I am giving you a proven flight path to success in this program.

But, I cannot and will not do the work for you.

You will know HOW to do everything necessary to look and feel amazing and to live your best life to by following this program exactly as it’s laid out. 

But, what is your plan to actually do the work?

  • this is going to take hard work
  • this is going to take crazy focus
  • this is going to take dedication
  • this is going to take resourcefulness
  • this is going to take courage
  • this is going to take strength
  • this is going to take sacrifice
  • most importantly this is going to take DISCIPLINE

Anything worth having, always does.

Inputs vs. Outputs

In this program, you aren’t just losing weight and getting in incredible shape, you’re also building a life that you are proud of and that you enjoy. 

You are becoming the version of yourself that you most desire to be. This is going to require an upleveling and an identity shifting process.

From here on out, you have to ask yourself, “what would the the best version of myself do right now?

This is where understanding the importance of inputs is so important. 

For example: 

Inputs are what we consume and allow into our brains, spaces and lives every day.

Outputs are the results of those inputs. 

Key inputs

After over-complicating my life for years, I realized that there are only 4 key priorities that truly lead to exponential growth.

These are your 4 key priorities to focus on EVERY.SINGLE.DAY. If you remove everything else, and only focus on these, magic will happen:

  1. Mindset Practice
  2. Exercise
  3. Meal Planning/Prep
  4. Forward Momentum toward Life Goal

I will of course teach you exactly how to do all of the above in this program, but I want you to keep this visible every day, to cut out distractions. Your success is inevitable if you stay focused on these 4 things.

It’s easy for me to say, but I am always mindful of this. So, when you feel yourself getting stuck, ask yourself:

  • is this important to living my best life?
  • Feeling amazing in my own skin?
  • Feeling accomplished?
  • making an impact?
  • getting me to my goals?

No? Then move on. Fast.

Subtraction = Success

The real secret to success is SUBTRACTION, and this is a common theme you’ll notice throughout the entire program.

In order to live my true purpose and to love the body I am in even at 50, here are a few of the things I subtracted from my life: 

  • mindlessly scrolling social media (I started tracking my time)
  • setting way too many goals
  • drinking
  • toxic relationships and energy
  • doing things outside of my genius zone i.e. cleaning, cooking every meal, etc.

Now, you might not be there yet, but these are all things to keep in mind as you grow. The more excess crap you subtract, the more you have to give to living your best life, to enjoying your family, to travel, to feeling amazing, to living longer on this planet!

I’m not saying don’t make time to treat yourself, have fun and binge watch a good show – I am saying that if you can make 80% of your inputs beneficial to your growth in the direction of your goals, everything will level up. 

You are 100% in control of your success and your failure. 

And this requires you to be radically accountable and honest with yourself about how much you’re truly dedicating yourself, making time for and executing on the steps laid out in this program. 

Silence the Noise

These may seem like small things but they make a massive difference:

  • If someone has not done exactly what you want to do in the way that you want to do it – do not listen to their weight loss advice.
  • If someone does not have the same values or definition of success as you – do not listen to their advice. 

And if there are accounts on social media that make you feel less than, unmotivated or bad about yourself – mute them or unfollow them now.

If you’re surrounded by people who are giving you advice and trying to talk you out of investing in yourself so that you can live your best life, and look and feel amazing, you need to ask yourself:

  • has this person done what I want to do?
  • is this person looking and feeling amazing?
  • is this person living a life I want?

If the answer is no.

Don’t listen.

They are either trying to protect you or they’re jealous. Either way, they aren’t you.

The 5 Success Mindset Shifts You Need to Adopt

1. Fad Mindset 

  • trends fade, timeless lasts forever 
  • we’re showing you how your body works & it’s based on science.  We’re showing you how to shape up your mind with The Power of 4 Method, which utilize time tested Behavioral modification techniques
  • you may not be able to see this now and this might even sound crazy, but trust me, you are going to lose weight, keep it off and create a life  you love.
  • You are going to enhance your life in every way possible.

Creating a  Life You Love, is about playing the LONG GAME.

2. Work Ethic Mindset:

  • work very hard to make it easy

No one starts out at pro level. I want to share a few examples that illustrate this perfectly:

Wayne Gretzgy

  • Wasn’t naturally skilled in size or speed
  • He outworked the competition
  • He committed to mastering his craft
  • He was a student of the game
  • He analyzed his play, every single game
  • In his childhood, he would study NHL games and track the            path of the puck on a piece of paper without ever looking down
  • “Skate to where the puck is going, not where it has been”
  • “You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take”

  • was told she wasn’t a fit for tv
  • 37,000 interviews

  • rehearsed for 8 months for a 2 hour performance

  • cut from his sophomore basketball team
  • used that to fuel his work ethic everyday
  • practiced as hard as he played in the game
  • he refused to lose, he would keep playing until he won
  • THE ONLY WAY TO LOSE IS TO QUIT

The most valuable mindset is a beginner’s mindset.

Stay curious, stay open, stay humble, work hard.

The only way to win is to stay in your own lane and run your own race. 

Focus

How do you get focused?

  • forget about the “how” and focus on your “why”
    • INTRINSIC VS. EXTRINSIC MOTIVATION
      • Intrinsic motivation comes from within, while extrinsic motivation comes from external factors. When you are intrinsically motivated, you engage in an activity because you enjoy it, it aligns with your purpose and you get satisfaction from doing it. When you are extrinsically motivated, you do something in order to gain an external reward and that is fleeting and unreliable. You need to focus on your intrinsic motivation to stay focused and to build long term lifestyle change.
  • WHY are you here? What do you want? What is your motivation?
  • PUT THAT SOMEWHERE YOU CAN SEE IT EVERY DAY
  • The biggest key to focus is to keep your end goal in mind and the how becomes arbitrary

Understand your opportunity cost:

  • 30 minutes a day scrolling social media = 182.5 hours = 22 x 8 hour working days
  • 1 hour of watching Netflix
  • 4 hours spent at a party you don’t want to be at  

You need to become a time ninja – you have the time, you’re just not tracking how you use it. 

This week, pay attention to how you’re spending every second of your day, and how you could be more efficient to spend time doing things you need to and want to. Be intentional with your time.

The power of ONE

When I put all of my energy, attention and focus into 1 program, everything grew. It seems counterintuitive, but the secret to success and high performance is subtraction NOT addition.

That’s why this program is focused on creating 1 program and putting all of your energy and effort into making it the best in the world. You do not need to buy another course, you do not need to listen to another podcast, you do not need to watch more YouTube videos. You owe yourself the power of pure focus.

My mission is to create success ripples.

You are one of those ripples.

Using the information in this program,

and learning from my experience,

you will create your own ripples by sharing your own unique genius and building your own audience, and your audience will then create their own ripples.

3. Prototype Mindset: 

  • you’re going to hear me talk about the idea of a “prototype” a lot in this program
  • it can be a painful concept for recovering perfectionists (myself included!)
  • but it is the most powerful concept you can adopt in growing your business

It shifts you from a perfectionist mindset to a scientist mindset.

What is a prototype? 

– “a first, typical or preliminary model of something, especially a machine, from which other forms are developed or copied.” — Oxford

You see prototypes everywhere in successful businesses. A prototype is the first run of your offer, it includes only what is necessary to get the desired result for your client. It is not pretty, it is not perfect. But it works. Without real world feedback on your prototype, you can’t continue to improve and optimize it to be the best in the world. Every smart business starts with a prototype and dedicates themselves to continual improvements.

As a “rocket scientist” in your business, you need to collect:

  • data
  • real world feedback
  • real world results

In order to continually improve and make your offer the best in the world. Being the best is how you build authority. You can have the loudest marketing and the best sales strategy, but without a great product that delivers great results, you have nothing. Start bare. Start messy. Imperfect action is still action. And taking action puts you at least 10 steps ahead of anyone else. Remember, high performance is about subtraction, not addition. Starting with the essentials to get the outcome you desire is the easiest way to build a great offer. Progress > perfection. 

Selfish vs. Selfless

And if that perfectionist voice in your head is telling you you’re “selfish” or “egotistical” or “not an expert”, I’ve been in your shoes. It kept me stuck. But, I quickly realized that sharing my unique genius with the world is the most selfless thing you can do. 

By keeping your knowledge, expertise and skills hidden, you’re starving the world of what you bring to the table to make an impact.

4. Growth & Abundance Mindset:

Abundance mindset: there is always more of everything in life i.e. time, money, resources, etc.

Scarcity Mindset: there is never enough, you live in fear, you’re desperate for more.

Whatever you focus on, you will get.

Focus only on what you want and believe it’s already true:

  • I am fit
  • I feel amazing
  • I am healthy
  • I love my life

The Law of Reciprocity:

“When someone does something nice for you, you will have a deep-rooted psychological urge to do something nice in return. As a matter of fact, you may even reciprocate with a gesture far more generous than their original good deed.”

I will talk about this a lot in how you run your business. It is a vital component to fostering a growth mindset.

I truly believe the more you give, the more you’ll get. Being selfish with your time, knowledge, and resources will only lead to more lack. 

5. Radical Accountability:

I am giving you the keys. It is your job to turn the ignition and fly. There’s a reason why it’s called:

  • self love
  • self worth
  • self confidence
  • self awareness

Everything you want in life starts with YOU.

If you really want to change the world. You have to change yourself first.

You only have control over yourself. You do not have control over the outcome. You can execute on the actions to achieve your outcome, but there is a level of surrendering to the process when it comes to building your best life. Turn your “shoulds” into “musts” to make your goals happen.

I said this earlier and it’s worth repeating, YOU ARE NOT A SPECIAL SNOWFLAKE. You are unique as a person but your ability to achieve results in this program is not unique – if you are here and we invited you into this program, we take that seriously and we know that if you follow the method laid out in front of you, you will achieve your goal. Doing the work properly is on YOU.

Celebrate every Micro Win

  • There is scientific evidence that celebrating wins creates forward momentum
  • So, any little baby step or win you have in this program NEEDS TO BE CELEBRATED

Failure is Feedback in Disguise

There is no failure, just information. As the rocket scientist behind your success, use that information to inform your best next step.  The faster you take action, the faster you succeed. Make a list of all of the times you have “figured it out” in your life. Make a list of all of the little triumphs that have gotten you to this point. You are capable. You have the tools in your hand. The rest is up to you. Excuses are cheap. Action is profitable. YOUR SUCCESS IS INEVITABLE. 

You don’t Get a 6-Pack By Not Working out

Imagine you hired a personal trainer and they give you the exact plan to follow to be in the best shape of your life. Is it their job to lift weights for you? To show up for your workouts for you?

NO! Execution is on you. Is it hard? Painful? Does it knock you on your butt at times? 

Yes.

6 packs don’t happen overnight- but they are inevitable if you do the work.

Now, it’s time to hold yourself accountable!

If your future self were to talk to your current self, 90 days from now, what is the outcome you have achieved? What are you in control of?
